Flu Preparedness
Each year, WOHA plays an important role in the protection of our community against seasonal flu. Solicited by both private and public agencies to provide consultation, case management, and policy, we were also an integral part of the response to last year's H1N1 pandemic.
The most effective measure of Influenza protection is immunization. Protect yourself, your employees, and the public through vaccination against seasonal flu.

About the Vaccine:
- The 2011-2012 vaccine protects against the A/H1N1 strain (pandemic) and seasonal flu viruses, influenza A/H3N2 and influenza B.
- Know your options. There are three types of vaccine currently available: INACTIVATED (the shot) and LIVE, ATENUATED (the mist) and INTRADERMAL (the skin-prick). WOHA offers the Inactivated vaccine.
- Do you qualify as a high risk individual? For detailed information about each vaccine, who should get it and when, read the CDC's information sheets, provided above.
Knowledge is the first step to protection.
